Office considers the “minimum viable place” required to sustain a human body, using a modest heated blanket from a neighbor’s home office. Referencing minimalist and readymade traditions, the work frames care and precarity as infrastructural conditions.
Over the course of the show, visitors from children to elders sat on the piece and left indentations, adjustments, and handprints on the work. The piece was then returned to a neighbor’s home office.
